Started work on my cosplay for AVcon. This one will be going on stage. and is something I've been wanting to do for a long time now.

And only a handful of ppl know what that is... *grins*

Got to pay a visit to Alex and Jas's place on friday. Alex was good enough to help me out with the pattern making since I am hopless at it, or I'm ignorant of making such patterns due to the fact that I've never had anyone to properly show me.

And for starting from scratch he certainly does have talent. x.x More than what I can with my pinky.

So he made me strip and measured me up (And yes I was still fully clothed so no one can acuse us of cheating...FFS he is gay after all) ^__^ I wish I could bring him home and making sleep at the foot of my bed. LOL!! (Jason would have something to say about that <,< )

So after he showed me how measurements are taken he measures it all out on the fabric I had brought and I'm like.

"I so do not have any idea what I am looking at here it's just a heap of lines playing dot to dot to me."

And he assures me that all will be made clearer when the patterns are cut out and sewn together.

Just as well I brought the full 5m. x.x We almost ran out. AKK!~ But still the main coat was made, and the under coat was cut out but has not been put together... We ran out of time.

Those cats of theirs are scatter-brains XD Kinda slowed the whole process down somewhat too... everytime we wanted to get on our knees and do something (Pun not intended sickos) ..the scatter brain cats would come running in and messing up the fabric. As annoying as they were sometimes... the make up for it in cuteness. lol

So now I'm started doing the Bias binding on the main coat. x.x I think I might just run out... and as for the bottom needing to be heamed. I might not bother... I mean... it will look more regal flowing and hitting the ground like it does.

heh... regal... XD what a work to describe something that the king of theives would wear... (oh shit... big hint there... > )

I have a wig coming from melbourne that need to chop up. Shouldnt be too hard since if there is one thing I know how to do well and thats chop up a wig and serve it with a side of fries. WHOOT~

No doubt anyone reading this will almost by now know who the costume is for.

If not.... maybe in my next progress report I'll drop even more hints...

Have to do the bias binding one strip at a time as I am not sewing it on, just glueing... but the glue is so tacky >.< I almost wish I was sewing it but sadly my mother does not have a working sewing machine. Hopefully soon.

I'm also now on the look out for a decient enough pair of slippers I will need for this to work. I'll try seeing if I cant do any op shopping between now and next week. <,<

And can anyone tell me what is best used for boob binding, when your a 14 DD?

I know someone once told me but I have long since forgotten.

I was considering bandages but someone told me that they hurt something shocking.

gah! The joys of cosplaying guys. >.<

And for those who know... I'm doing much better now from my sudden visit to the hospital the other week. Everything checked out and I can go on with my life.

My holiday was alo aspecially well deserved. Some much needed time away from all the bullshit I have to put up with on a daily basis here. Work... family....Sometimes ome things just got too much for me.

My highlight was the dolphin and seal cruise which i absolutly LOVED... Poor Raito-kun... he wasn't feeling too enthusiased about being in a small cruiser crashing throw choppy waves, getting wet in the face with sea water... while here's me... face pressed up against the window's of the cabin "WHOOOHOOOING" and "No... no slowing down... GO FULL THROTTLE" to the captain. XD I'm a maniac. I just love it when I go for wild rides like these.

And then you go out onto the nose to take pics of the dolphins swimming right up close.

Ok so that was rather scary for me since I've never done something like that before I seriousely thought I was eithe A) going to fall in or B) loose a camera that I didn't own and feel seriously stupid and responsible for it.

So I pretty much stayed sitting on my butt and wiggled across the nose to the edge. The shipmate was like "Why don;t you get up and do that... "

"Uh... no... I cant seem to keep my footing, unlike you."

So I took some snaps and even some vid. from my seated position. And then put my camera away and thats when I stood up when I had full grip of the bars. x.x No way was I letting go... but damn... seeing dolphins so close and swimming like they were.. playing about twisting and breaching the water infront of us was the most breathtaking thing I have ever seen.

I almost didn't want it to end cause I was having so much fun.

Poor Raito-kun... I felt real sorry I dragged him in on it. But I so didn't want him to miss out.

More on my holiday in my next post me thinks... I'm tired and need to sleep.

I worked 9-6 today and from 1pm onwards I was left in charge of the 3 n00bs. x.x I'm just glad that it wasn't too busy otherwise i would have been pulling clumps of hair out. But It wasn't really that hard to do. I know Megan gets annoyed with me when I have to tell her to speed it up. She started at 8. I started at 9. When I got in... she was still doing bacon from when she first arrived. and still doing it 20mins into my shift. I could not believe it would take her that long. even when I was new... it never took me an hr and a half, especially on a sat. to do the bacon.

I'm not being mean. Not by a long shot... she does things that really make you wonder about her stability in being able to handle such fast paced environment. Like the time she took a full tray of kalamata olives around to the front of the cabnet and put it in that way cause she claimed she couldnt get it in from the deli side. I'm like.. O.o are you seriouse? -_- She even spills juice on the floor out front and I made her clean that right up before someone DID have an accident.

Even tonight.. we had to count cabnet... she ...omg... she goes and gets a step... puts it infront of the cabnet...(Now I thought I would just watch this to see what the bloody hell she was needing a step for) ...she pics up the tub of hocks that she just weighed and steps up onto the step and puts it in the cabnet that way. like.. WHAT in the HELL? And by doing it that way she drops half of them. -___-

*sighs* There's a few ppl I know who cant stand her to be honest. I'm tolerating her. Brett even said to me while she was at lunch...

"I think we get more done when it' just you and me"

I just have to laugh. But it's true.

I bet Bianca is spitting chips now wishing that she could have hired someone who was just like me. But I told Alison... that It may turn out that before long. Megan WILL become just like me. She is still learning I know this... but seriously.. needs to start using her head a bit. She's also gotta knock off the attitude she's developed there...

Like if Bianca tells her to do something and to be snappy about it... she'll retort back with...

"cant I just finish what I'm doing first"
"OkAAAAaeeee..."
...or she just generally gives a dirty look....

I feel like telling her next time that if she continues to act smart arse and like she owns the place she will make more enemies than friends and she won't like working there much.

I know it must be easier for me to say since I don't virtuially have that problem... but still.

On anouther note, I now know how to change the bailer. Not that I'm going to do it.. but yeah.. I do know... somewhat.

I watched Justin do it and he even showed me how to do all the knots and shit. I told him that I most likely wont need to do it since I refuse to use one of the manual pallet movers. Those things give me the creeps.

Anyway... time to get the last little bit glued on and then sleep. x.x
